DJ Marlon “Main Man Marlon”
Event DJ
Marlon got started in deejaying in 1999 collecting vinyl albums and watching friends DJ at clubs and bars, taking an immediate interest in the craft. But this nice guy’s love of music began further back in Jamaica rhyming and singing his way in and out of trouble. His largest influences include the iconic music genius, Luther Vandross, many Jamaican DJs and the sounds of Stone Love. When Marlon plays an event you can expect a sharply dressed man with an amazing sense of humour and a great personality that knows how to get the party started! All combining to make sure you dance, feel good, and then dance some more. Says Marlon, “Someone asked me, ‘Why do I love DJing?’ — simple, making someone feel good as the reminisce or enjoy that moment. I tend to read a crowd and respond to their energy and I get it back.” Marlon brings a great energy and personality to each and every event. We are honoured to have him as a part of our team.
DJ Colin
Event DJ, WPICC
Colin’s career as a DJ started when he took his first piano lessons. In 8 short years, he completed 11 years of formal music training, and received enough education to start teaching music, if he so chose. Being brought up in a music-loving family, by this stage of his life he was consumed with the wonders of sound technology. At the age of 17, he was controlling sound for an auditorium that hosted the Mississauga Symphony, along with many other music and presentation groups. And his life of playing music and running sound equipment was well under way. He then founded his company, during his last year of high school, after he had trained many friends to work with him. This business saw him through his college education, and was a full-fledged business by this time. Over the next decade along with running his own company, Colin worked for a DJ Supply Record Store, a Professional Sound & Lighting Rental/Retailer, a Professional Sound & Lighting Installer, and a Professional Staging and AV company. In the last few years Colin has become a Certified Wedding Planner, he has been elected as an Advisory Board Member of the Canadian Professional DJ Association, and is also now proud to be part of the ISES Board here in Toronto. His next goal is to do all he can to achieve his Certified Special Event Planner accreditation. We are honoured and thrilled to have Colin as a part of the Allegro Productions team.
DJ Chase
Event DJ
I think for me holiday parties are really fun to do, seeing everyone come out to celebrate as one in matching colors is a wonderful sight and a great feeling of unity. Weddings are by far my favourite, I think it’s the importance of the day and celebrating it with the people in attendance and making everyone day with the service I provide. I’m a very easy going person bringing an energy filled time to the party with a very wide variety of music and mixing style. Understanding the needs of the client and bringing the element of various music together to make the event as spectacular as possible weather its 70s, 80s, 90s to current chart toppers. With a diverse mixing style and the love of music that caters to a wide age range. There is something about a wedding that makes me happy, I think it’s seeing all the people enjoying themselves smiling and dancing to the entertainment I bring to the environment makes it that more special. The thought that I made this day special for them will forever be with them as a wonderful memory that will be with them always.
